Welcome to Nan Fischer's
journaling inspiration - journaling workshop, blank journals, a
blank journal page to print, prompts, quotes, essays, and books addressing self-discovery, women's
issues, transformation and empowerment.
We
write from quotes, personal experiences and exercises. Those methods are
cerebral. This one is visual. I will post photos for you to use as a writing
prompt. Write your first thoughts upon seeing the photo. Create a short
story or poem from the feelings you have around it, write a description,
or use the prompts I post on the page.
Prompts
can put ideas in your head before you have time to formulate your own,
though. I'd rather you dug deep inside to explore your relationship with
each photo. So I am going to put the prompts farther down the page. You'll
be able to see the photo first, and if it doesn't inspire you or you need
a nudge, you can scroll down to my prompts. There is an example below.
I
am not going to title these photo prompt pages. That will influence your
first thoughts about them. I want you to rawly and freshly look at the
photos and write, so these pages are simply numbered.
Notice! I am going to let this website go soon. When the hosting expires, I am not going to renew it. I have owned this site for almost 10 years, and it's time to move on to other things. Many thanks to all of you who wrote, laughed, cried, took courses, bought books and journals, emailed with your responses to the prompts, joined and unjoined the newsletters and have stopped by at Wordpress and Twitter. There is nothing like the joy of sharing your inner self in a trusting place, so thanks for creating it. It was all of you who made this place, not me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
